Thank you for your interest in supporting Friends of Woodstock School. The giving alternatives and funding vehicles described in this website enable Friends of Woodstock School to meet its short and long-term goals which are to further develop and enhance Woodstock's educational programs and provide access for deserving students. FWS honors the AFP Donor Bill of Rights.
Friends of Woodstock School is supported by the generosity of alumni and friends through a variety of ways:
- Unrestricted annual gifts to the Fund for Excellence to support today's needs.
- Designated gifts to Existing FWS Designated Funds that further progress our longer-term priorities such as scholarships, staff development, or special projects.
- Joining the Lyre Tree Society through careful estate or gift planning.
You might also consider making a Memorial or Honorary Gift to FWS in recognition of a special friend or family member.
You can double the impact of your dollars with a Matching Gift. Many companies will match, double or even triple the amount of your gift through their matching gift program. Some companies match gifts from retired employees and employees’ spouses. Please contact your Human Resources Department for the necessary forms.

If you want your donation credited to a specific fund, please note the name of the fund on the memo line of the check or include a cover note with your check.
Donations of Stock:
If you have held stock for more than one year, you may take a charitable tax deduction for the market value of the stock, and neither you nor FWS has to pay capital gains taxes when the stock is sold. The combination can result in a bigger deduction (and more tax savings) for you and a bigger gift for FWS than if you sell the stock, pay the taxes, and donate the net proceeds.
